▸ Quick Verdict

Fusion Markets has built its entire identity around one promise: cheaper trading. The numbers back it up. 0 pips, and no minimum deposit make this broker genuinely hard to beat on cost. It holds an ASIC licence (tier-1), giving Australian traders a credible regulatory backstop, though the Seychelles and Vanuatu entities serving international clients sit in a lower regulatory tier. The platform lineup is strong, with MT4, MT5, cTrader, and TradingView all under one roof. Where Fusion Markets falls short is education and research, both of which feel like afterthoughts. If you are a cost-conscious trader who already knows what you are doing, this broker deserves serious consideration. If you are brand new, the savings are real but the hand-holding is not.

Pros

  • Industry-leading $4.50 round-turn commission
  • No minimum deposit, micro-lot trading
  • MT4, MT5, cTrader, and TradingView supported
  • 250+ instruments across multiple asset classes
  • Zero deposit fees, merchant fees absorbed

Cons

  • Education and research resources are minimal
  • International clients under offshore regulation
  • No investor compensation for offshore clients
  • Classic account unavailable on cTrader

Fusion Markets launched in 2019 out of Melbourne with a straightforward pitch: strip away the marketing budgets, the bloated fee structures, and the unnecessary complexity, then pass the savings to the trader. Founded by a team with backgrounds at other Australian brokerages, its positioning has remained consistent since day one. Low cost, broad platform access, minimal barriers to entry.

That positioning has clearly resonated. Across verified review platforms, Fusion Markets scores well: Google Reviews shows 4.7 out of 5 from 232 reviews, ForexPeaceArmy shows 4.433 out of 5 from 286 reviews, and TradingView shows 4.6 from approximately 3,200 ratings.

Recurring themes in positive reviews are exactly what you would expect: low trading costs, fast execution, and responsive support.

The question worth asking is whether that low-cost model comes with trade-offs. The answer is yes, though not necessarily the ones you might expect. The regulation is credible at the top (ASIC) but lighter for international clients.

The education is thin. The research tools are basic. Whether those trade-offs matter depends entirely on what kind of trader you are.

A few points of confusion surfaced during research that are worth clarifying.

TradingView user base claim: Fusion Markets' own website contradicts itself, citing "100M+ traders" on one page and "50M+ traders" on another when describing TradingView's community. This is a marketing inconsistency rather than anything consequential, but it illustrates why you should always verify broker claims against primary sources.

"Lowest-cost FX broker on TradingView" claim: This designation is self-claimed, based on a comparison Fusion Markets conducted on 16 January 2024. While the commission rate of $2.25 per side is genuinely competitive, the claim has not been independently audited, and market conditions may have changed since that comparison date.

ASIC licence status: FMGP Trading Group Pty Ltd (ABN 74 146 086 017) holds AFSL 385620. This is confirmed on the ASIC register and in the broker's official Financial Services Guide (July 2025).

Level 02 / 09 Safety

Trust & Regulation

Does your broker's licence actually protect you? That is the only question that matters here, and with Fusion Markets the answer depends on which entity holds your account.

Screenshot - Fusion Markets regulator badges and licence registrations
Captured July 2026, fusionmarkets.com

Regulatory Structure

Fusion Markets operates through three regulated entities, each serving different client pools:

FMGP Trading Group Pty Ltd (ABN 74 146 086 017) holds Australian Financial Services Licence AFSL 385620, issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). ASIC is a tier-1 regulator, widely considered one of the most rigorous financial oversight bodies globally. Australian clients fall under this entity.

Fusion Markets International Ltd is licensed by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles (SD096). This licence has been independently verified on the official register.

Gleneagle Securities Pty Limited holds a licence from the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (40256). This licence has also been independently verified on the register.

Trust Score and Tier Breakdown

Fusion Markets holds 3 regulators: 1 tier-1 licence (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) and 2 offshore licences (Financial Services Authority of Seychelles, Vanuatu Financial Services Commission).

This matters because the tier of your regulator determines the level of protection you receive. Under ASIC, Australian clients benefit from strict capital adequacy requirements, mandatory segregation of client funds, and access to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) for dispute resolution.

Under the Seychelles and Vanuatu entities, oversight is lighter. There is no investor compensation scheme equivalent to what ASIC-regulated clients can access, and the enforcement mechanisms are less robust.

Client Fund Protection

Client funds are held in segregated Client Trust Accounts at National Australia Bank (NAB), one of Australia's four largest banks by market capitalisation and ranked among the top 20 globally. Segregation means your trading capital is kept separate from the broker's operating funds.

If the broker were to become insolvent, segregated funds should, in theory, be identifiable and returnable to clients rather than absorbed into the company's general assets.

Regional Differences That Matter

If you browse the fusionmarkets.com international site from Australia, it may display the FSA Seychelles entity with leverage up to 1:500 and no minimum deposit rather than the ASIC-regulated FMGP entity. UK visitors also see the FSA Seychelles entity.

This is a critical point: Australian retail clients are entitled to ASIC protection (leverage capped at 1:30) under FMGP Trading Group, but those opening accounts through the international-facing site may not be onboarded under the ASIC entity unless they specifically ensure they are signing up with FMGP Trading Group. Always confirm which entity holds your account before depositing funds.

Additionally, the Classic account type appears available for Australian visitors but is not listed for UK visitors, who instead see only the Zero, Demo, Swap-Free, Fusion Pro, and Premium Program options.

Level 03 / 09 Fees

Fees & Spreads

This is where Fusion Markets makes its strongest case. The broker has built its brand on cost leadership, and the fee structure reflects that commitment.

Commission Structure

The Zero account charges a commission of $4.50 round-turn per standard lot ($2.25 per side). Spreads start from 0.0 pips, making the all-in cost approximately 0.5 pips on major pairs.

Many competing brokers charge $3.50 per side ($7.00 round-turn) on their raw spread accounts, which makes Fusion Markets' $2.25 per side ($4.50 round-turn) one of the cheapest commission structures available.

The Classic account wraps everything into the spread, a concept called "spread-only pricing" where the broker's fee is embedded in the difference between buy and sell prices. Spreads on the Classic account start from 0.9 pips, with an average EUR/USD spread of 0.92 pips all-in. There is no separate commission.

On cTrader, the commission structure differs slightly: $2.25 per $100,000 of notional volume per side. For a standard lot of EUR/USD, that works out to approximately EUR 2.25 per side.

Non-Trading Fees

Fusion Markets does not charge an inactivity fee in practice, though the Client Services Agreement may reserve the right to apply a nominal annual fee (up to USD $10). This is notable because many brokers penalise dormant accounts, sometimes as much as $10 to $50 per month after a period of inactivity.

No deposit fees are charged on any of the 30+ payment methods. The broker even absorbs merchant fees for Neteller, PayPal, Skrill, and credit card deposits, which can run up to 4% of the deposit amount.

International bank wire transfers may incur intermediary fees of typically USD $20 to $30, but these come from the banks in the transfer chain, not from Fusion Markets.

Swap-Free Considerations

The swap-free account (designed for traders with religious objections to overnight interest charges) applies an admin fee only when a trade is held open beyond 7 days. The fee is charged once per trade (not per day beyond 7 days), at 00:00 MT4 server time (17:00 New York Time).

The admin fee amount varies by instrument. This structure is more transparent than some brokers that charge daily admin fees on swap-free accounts.

Spread Data Transparency

Fusion Markets does not publish static spread figures on its spreads page. Instead, it uses a dynamic tool powered by tradeproofer.com that displays live and historical minimum, maximum, and average spreads from a Zero account, updated hourly.

While this approach is arguably more honest than cherry-picked "typical" spreads, it makes quick comparisons harder when evaluating multiple brokers.

Level 04 / 09 Platforms

Platforms

Can you actually trade the way you want? Fusion Markets answers that question with one of the broadest platform lineups in the retail broker space.

Core Platforms

MetaTrader 4 (MT4) remains the industry workhorse. It supports Expert Advisors (automated trading strategies written in MQL4), and a WebTrader version provides browser-based access with 30 technical indicators.

MetaTrader 5 (MT5) adds 21 timeframes (versus MT4's 9), 80+ technical analysis objects, market depth (the ability to see buy and sell orders queued at different price levels), and a built-in VPS (Virtual Private Server, which keeps your automated strategies running even when your computer is off).

cTrader is available for desktop, web (at app.fusionmarkets.com), and mobile. It offers 26 timeframes, 80+ indicators, Level II market depth with three DOM (Depth of Market) views, and algorithmic trading via cAlgo using C# or Python.

One important restriction: cTrader is available exclusively on the Zero account. Classic account holders cannot use it.

TradingView integration works through cTrader's backend for trade execution. It is accessible on web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android, offering 15+ chart types, 90+ drawing tools, and 100+ prebuilt indicators.

Fusion Markets claims to be the lowest-cost FX broker on TradingView, based on a comparison conducted on 16 January 2024.

Copy Trading and Managed Accounts

  • Fusion+ is the broker's proprietary copy trading service. Free if both master and follower trade at least 2.5 lots of FX or metals per month; otherwise USD $10 per month. Approved master traders may charge performance fees up to 30%.
  • cTrader Copy is built into the cTrader platform as an alternative copy trading experience.
  • MAM/PAMM (Multi-Account Manager / Percentage Allocation Management Module) is available through the MetaFX platform, with a 0.1 pip execution cost added across all products.
  • DupliTrade integration offers signal-based automated trading, compatible with MT4 accounts.

VPS Access

A sponsored VPS through NYC Servers is available at no cost if you trade more than 20 lots of FX or metals in a 30-day period. Below that threshold, a 25% discount on NYC Servers is still available.

TradingView Free Subscription Tiers

Fusion Markets offers TradingView subscription upgrades based on trading volume: Essentials for 2 lots per month, Plus for 6 lots, and Premium for 12 lots. For active traders, this represents genuine added value.

Level 05 / 09 Instruments

Tradable Instruments

Fusion Markets offers 250+ instruments across forex and CFDs covering multiple asset classes: currency pairs, indices, commodities, individual stocks, and cryptocurrencies. All are traded as CFDs (Contracts for Difference), meaning you speculate on price movements rather than owning the underlying asset.

Minimum trade sizes are accessible: 0.01 lots (micro lots) for forex, metals, indices, and crypto. Equities require a minimum of 0.1 lots, and soft commodities require 1 lot.

Not all 250+ instruments appear in the live spreads tool due to third-party data limitations, so if you need pricing on a specific instrument before opening an account, the demo account may be your best research tool. The swap-free account covers over 50 instruments, including forex pairs and indices. Some exotic currency pairs may be excluded.

Level 06 / 09 Accounts

Account Types

Which account fits your trading style? Fusion Markets keeps it relatively simple with six primary options.

Screenshot - Fusion Markets account-type comparison page showing spreads and minimum deposits
Captured July 2026, fusionmarkets.com

Zero Account

Spreads from 0.0 pips with a $4.50 round-turn commission. All-in cost approximately 0.5 pips on major pairs. No minimum deposit. Compatible with all platforms including cTrader.

Classic Account

No separate commission. Spreads start from 0.9 pips (average EUR/USD 0.92 pips all-in). The Classic spread is calculated by adding 0.9 pips to the prevailing Zero account spread. No minimum deposit.

Note that the Classic account is listed for Australian visitors but does not appear in the account options shown to UK visitors.

Switching between Zero and Classic is straightforward: email help@fusionmarkets.com.

Swap-Free Account

Available for traders with religious objections to overnight swaps. Covers 50+ instruments. An admin fee applies only after 7 days, charged once per trade regardless of how long it remains open beyond that threshold.

You cannot hold a mix of swap-free and swap-charged accounts simultaneously, and Fusion Markets reserves the right to convert your account to swap-charged if it detects abuse of the policy.

Demo Account

Free for 30 days, replicating real-time market conditions with virtual funds. Can be extended at no cost once you fund a live account by contacting support.

Fusion Pro and Premium Program

Both are listed in the navigation as additional account tiers. Specific details on eligibility requirements and benefits were not available in the sources reviewed.

Level 07 / 09 Deposit

Deposits & Withdrawals

Fusion Markets offers 30+ deposit methods with zero broker-side fees across every single one. That blanket zero-fee policy, combined with the broker absorbing merchant fees on card and e-wallet deposits, is genuinely uncommon.

Deposit Details

Most methods require a $10 USD minimum deposit. Notable exceptions: PayID accepts as little as 1 AUD, Pix accepts $1 USD, and BinancePay starts at $20 USD. Bank wire transfers take 1 to 5 business days; Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal process instantly.

Regional payment methods are well-covered: Interac for Canada, PayID for Australia, DragonPay for the Philippines, VNPay for Vietnam, Pix for Brazil, MPESA for East Africa, DuitNow for Malaysia, and several others. For traders outside major Western markets, this breadth of local payment options is a genuine convenience.

All deposits must originate from an account in your own name. Third-party payments are not accepted, though joint bank accounts qualify if you are a named holder. MiFinity users must have a verified account when funding above the currency equivalent of 150 euros.

Withdrawal Processing

Withdrawals submitted before 11am AEDT are processed the same business day. After that cutoff, processing moves to the next business day. Funds generally arrive within 1 to 5 business days depending on the method.

Level 08 / 09 Education

Research & Education

This is where Fusion Markets shows its weakest hand. The broker has clearly invested in platforms and pricing, but research and education appear to have received whatever budget was left over.

Research Tools

An economic calendar is available on the Fusion website, within the Fusion Client Hub, and via the MT5 Trade Terminal Calendar Tab. cTrader includes cTrader Analyze for performance analysis.

Through TradingView integration, you can access over 8 million community-contributed Pine Scripts, educational ideas, and live streams.

What is missing: no daily market analysis from in-house analysts, no signal services, no Trading Central or Autochartist integration, no proprietary sentiment data. If you rely on your broker for market commentary and trade ideas, you will need to source those elsewhere.

Education

The demo account serves as the primary learning tool, providing a risk-free environment with real-time market conditions. Beyond that, no structured trading academy, video course library, or webinar program was identified.

The TradingView community provides some educational value, but that is a TradingView product, not a Fusion Markets one.

For experienced traders, the absence of education is irrelevant. For beginners, it is a genuine gap.

Level 09 / 09 Support

Customer Support

Fusion Markets offers 24/7 support through three channels: email (help@fusionmarkets.com), live chat, and phone (+61 3 8376 2706). The around-the-clock availability is a strength, particularly given the broker's global client base spanning multiple time zones.

Account opening is fast. Fusion Markets states that approvals can happen in as little as 3 minutes, with 90% of accounts approved within the hour. For trade-related disputes, you need to submit your account number, the ticket number of affected trades, an MT4 screenshot, and a description of the issue. Investigations take up to 24 hours.

The broker does not provide trading advice. It executes trades based on your instructions only.

For account closure or data deletion requests, contact help@fusionmarkets.com. Full data deletion may not be immediate due to anti-money-laundering and other regulatory obligations.

External dispute resolution for Australian clients is available through AFCA (Australian Financial Complaints Authority) at www.afca.org.au or 1800 931 678.

▸ Our Verdict

Our Verdict on Fusion Markets

Fusion Markets does one thing exceptionally well: it keeps your trading costs low. The Zero account's $4.50 round-turn commission and 0.0 pip starting spreads are among the most competitive in the retail forex space.

The no-minimum-deposit policy removes the barrier to entry, and the platform selection (MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView) is comprehensive enough that most traders will find their preferred interface.

The ASIC licence gives Australian clients credible regulatory protection, though international clients under the Seychelles or Vanuatu entities operate with a lighter regulatory safety net. Client fund segregation at NAB is a solid arrangement regardless of entity.

The weaknesses are concentrated in two areas: education and research. If you are an intermediate or advanced trader who sources your own analysis, this will not bother you. If you are a beginner looking for guidance, Fusion Markets will save you money but will not teach you how to trade.

One verified complaint on ForexPeaceArmy (August 2025) alleged that Fusion Markets terminated a client's account after profitable scalping and deducted approximately 8% as a "pro-rated swap fee," resulting in a payout below the original deposit. This is a single complaint against thousands of positive reviews, but if you trade high-frequency scalping strategies, it is worth reading the broker's terms around prohibited trading practices carefully before committing capital.

For cost-conscious traders who prioritise execution and platform flexibility over hand-holding, Fusion Markets earns a strong recommendation with the caveat that you should verify which regulatory entity holds your account.
