TMGM, formerly known as TradeMax, is an Australian-founded forex and CFD broker that launched in 2013. It has since expanded into a multi-entity operation spanning four jurisdictions. The broker offers trading across six asset classes through MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and a proprietary mobile application.
TMGM has pursued brand visibility through a reported partnership with Chelsea Football Club and maintains its headquarters in Sydney.
For Australian clients, the proposition centres on ASIC regulation, tight spreads on major pairs, and institutional-grade execution infrastructure powered by OneZero Financial Technology. The minimum deposit sits at $100, and the broker supports both discretionary and algorithmic trading through Expert Advisors on the MetaTrader platforms.
What distinguishes TMGM from purely offshore brokers is the ASIC licence and the custodial arrangement with NAB. What distinguishes it from top-tier multi-regulated brokers is the absence of FCA (UK) or MAS (Singapore) licences and the presence of unverified offshore entities in its corporate structure.
Understanding where you sit in that spectrum determines how much of TMGM's marketing applies to your actual trading conditions.
"TMGM is a scam." Multiple independent sources explicitly state that TMGM itself is not a scam. The broker holds a verified ASIC licence (AFSL 436416), and client funds under the Australian entity are segregated at NAB.
The confusion is understandable: WikiFX has documented 55 clone websites that impersonate TMGM, and New Zealand's FMA has flagged specific fraudulent domains. If you encountered a "TMGM" platform that withheld your funds, there is a significant probability you were interacting with an impersonator. Always access TMGM directly through tmgm.com.
"Third parties directing you to deposit with TMGM for copy trading." A Reddit thread describes a scenario where someone was contacted by a third party instructing them to open a TMGM account and deposit $3,000. This pattern is consistent with social engineering fraud where scammers use a legitimate broker's name to lend credibility. TMGM may be legitimate in this context; the person directing you to it may not be.
"TMGM blocks profitable traders." A May 2026 ForexPeaceArmy thread describes an account restriction after a profitable XAUUSD trade, with TMGM citing "market price manipulation." The user escalated to AFCA.
This is a single account with unresolved status and does not establish a pattern, but it is worth noting for traders who generate large, rapid profits.
